Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order: All Planets RANKED!
I've always loved RPGs and single-player games. I've always loved Star Wars. I've always loved games where you could explore large, lush worlds. I've always loved Star Wars Battlefront. Mash all of those amazing things together, and you get Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order! The best part about this game in my opinion is the exploration of the planets... it is just so fun! I am so hyped for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which without a doubt will have even more awesome planets to explore. Anyway, without further ado, RPG Ranked presents... Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order: All Planets RANKED!
8. Ordo Eris
Though it is technically not a planet, it is close enough that it deserves a spot on this list. This location is one of the three temporarily playable locations in the game, and it is still a blast—a testament to just how great of a game this is! You get to escape from prison and fight in a battle arena! This is pretty fun, but judging that the Meditation Training feature is present, there is already a much better battle arena present in the game! And the prison section ends up becoming rather tedious and annoying since there is no way of knowing what is going on at first... but for some people that makes it better! So that detail isn't that big of a deal for me. My personal favorite part about this place is, upon completion, you can fight Haxion Brood Bounty Hunters, Commandos, and Bounty Droids! Overall, this place is pretty fun, but due to the lack of the exploration and it being simply outclassed by Meditation Training, it could not place any higher on this list.
7. Bracca
I absolutely love this planet, and I really hope we will see this planet again in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor! Sure, it is the tutorial planet, but in terms of looks and atmosphere? I think it is my favorite in the entire game. However, since there is no exploration and it is only visitable at the beginning of the game, it pales in comparison to the other planets. Overall, the cutscenes, the train sequence, and the atmosphere are phenomenal and begin the game with a bang, but since there's no exploration, this planet could not place any higher on this list.
6. Bogano
Bogano is such a fun little planet to explore! It is essentially the closest thing the game has to a hub world! You return here many times throughout the game, unlocking new clues and secrets and being able to implement your new Force abilities to find more hidden collectibles! However, as the first explorable planet in the game, even though it is super fun, it has a lot less to do than the other planets and isn't heavy in epic moments like the others. Overall, a great planet, but not close to as good as the others.
5. Ilum
This planet is the smallest and least explorable of the five main planets. However, it makes up for what it lacks in gameplay by having great story and character beats, as well as granting Cal a new and improved lightsaber! This planet has a great aesthetic, and has some fun gameplay once you are given the ability to split your saber in two! Overall, an amazing planet plot-wise, and a planet with significance in the Clone Wars and the rest of the Skywalker Saga, but not an amazing planet in terms of exploration and gameplay.
4. Nur
The last of the unexplorable planets on the list, Nur is easily the best of the bunch. Its aesthetic is amazing, and it is the perfect location for a final dungeon. With epic fights against both the Second Sister and Darth Vader, great character moments for the crew of The Mantis, and amazing final cutscenes, Nur sticks the landing and ends the game spectacularly. It was also so cool that we were able to see this planet in live-action via the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV show! Overall, an incredible planet story-wise and battle-wise, but without the exploratory elements of the next three planets, I couldn't justify placing Nur any higher on this list.
3. Zeffo
The best of the new planets, Zeffo is the best planet of all when it comes to exploration! The only problem with this planet? For some, there is too much exploration! Am I part of this some? No, not really. Though there are a couple of times I would get lost underground and such, I didn't really mind. The biggest issue for me? There weren't the action-packed, huge moments that there are on Kashyyyk and Dathomir. Also, Zeffo doesn't have a rich history and backstory like those two planets have built up through the years via movies and television, so I'm really hoping we will get some more lore of Zeffo in the sequel! Overall, Zeffo has amazing exploration, but it doesn't quite have the lore and the huge moments that the next two planets possess.
2. Kashyyyk
I love this planet! You get to pilot an AT-AT, fly on a gigantic bird, invade an imperial base with Saw Gerrera and Tarfful by your side, and battle the Ninth Sister! The enemies, flora, and fauna are all very distinct here, and there were some incredibly fun moments with them such as fighting a spider queen and swinging across vine's with Kal's Force powers! However, even though this planet has some of the best moments in the game, it is quite linear and doesn't ahve near the level of exploration available on Zeffo or even Dathomir. Overall, with such amazing moments, Kashyyyk is the penultimate planet on this list, but its linear nature holds it back from being in number one on my list.
1. Dathomir
I may be a little bias since Dathomir has always been one of my favorite Star Wars planets... for me, it is up there with the likes of Coruscant, Kamino, Lothal, Genosis, Tatooine, Bespin, Crait, Naboo, and Scarif! I know, I know, that's a lot of favorite planets, but I'm a huge Star Wars nerd, so it is hard to choose just a couple of favorites! Anyway, with amazing lore coming from the Star Wars TV shows, I was absolutely thrilled when the game revealed to me that I had unlocked this planet! Now it is time to talk about the planet in terms of the game, not in terms of mysef. The Nightbrothers and Nightsisters are my favorite enemies to fight in the game, especially at the beginning of the game where you have to be extremely tactical to fight them or else they will beat you to a pulp! The planet has just the perfect amount of exploration without ever going to overboard, and it has some amazing moments almost on par with Kashyyyk's! Gorgara and Taron Malicos are some of the most fun and challenging boss fights in Fallen Order, and the character of Malicos is one of the most intriguing as well! The build up to the fight against Malicos is great, and Marrin joining the Mantis's crew is a unexpected, yet welcome addition! Being chased by Gorgara was also one of the most epic moments in the game for me! I also loved the fact that you could essentially explore Dathomir as early as you would like, if only to get the double-sided lightsaber. Overall, though the highs aren't quite as high as Kashyyk's highs, it is an overall better planet in my opinion due to better exploration, enemies, and bosses. With all that is going for it, Dathomir is without a doubt my favorite planet in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
